PAUSE/ PLAY is a portfolio of practice-led research, created by Rebecca Goldsmith, part of an AHRC-funded PhD in Place-based Poetry Film with Immersive Technologies.

Rebecca Goldsmith is an interdisciplinary practitioner, working across creative writing, music and digital media. Her practice explores the liminal space between artforms and technologies, the relationships between people and place, and the layering of memory and attachment over time.

This project was delivered at Keele University as a Collaborative Doctoral Award in partnership with Writing West Midlands, with additional supervision from staff at the Centre for Place Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University. It was supported by the North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership, part of the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
